Does it feel "bogged" down regardless of the throttle position? I had a similiar problem in which my bike started to bog down when the throttle was slightly open-1/2 open, but would run fine from 1/2 to wide open. I took out the white spacer and backed out the idle air/fuel mixture screw(behind the brass plug). This seemed to fix the problem. I think there is some variance among savages, but my bike was "sick" until I got rid of that white spacer.
